Logging into TallyCat.org

April 1st, 2009 by Davie

I noticed that this site has been quite for the last few months.  Justin said that no one could log-in.  I went and noticed that the log-in link was gone.  This site uses a very old version of WordPress and I’m not sure where that feature is turned on or off, but the work-around is to use this link:

http://tallycat.org/wp-login.php

That will get you to the log-in page.

Speaking of TallyCat.org, the current hosting company sent me a bill for $65.  Is anyone interested in kicking in on this or is it time to let the site go bye?

Best to all,

Davie B.

Trek to Re-Energize America - JULY!

February 17th, 2009 by xtina

WHAT:
The Trek to Re-Energize America is a bike trip to Washington D.C. Riders will depart for D.C. from all across the country, leaving from their home states and sweeping up media attention and grassroots support as they go. Upon arrival in D.C. the riders will rally and lobby for action on current legislation by asking their representatives to be leaders in the fight against climate change. A massive number of organized passionate people who have biked across the United States for something they believe strongly in will make for a statement that politicians and media will be unable to ignore.

ACTION NOW:
We’re running out of time. We need strong, immediate action on climate change from the new administration and the Trek to Re-Energize America is designed to build the momentum necessary to demand that change. The Trek To Re-Energize America was conceived of as a means to talk to people on their turf and in their communities about the challenges climate change poses to their lives, whether from floods, mountain top removal or smog. By having conversations in communities across the nation, we will empower citizens to take action and push our leaders to make decisive steps to move our great country out of the old dirty energy economy and into a clean energy economy, spurring green job growth, changing our wasteful habits and reestablishing the United States as a leader and pioneer in the global economy.

WHEN:
The trip is slated for summer 2009. The convergence on D.C. will take place in late July or early August to coincide with the congressional calendar.

GET INVOLVED:
We can only do it with your help. We need riders from as many states as we can get and leaders willing to direct efforts across the U.S. Please contact us with any thoughts, comments or questions. We’d love to have you involved. I’m just trying to get the word out so tell your friends!!!! I’m tentatively going for the ride with the WILMINGTON,NC TROOP. It’d be sweet if some peeps were willing to help plan or take some people in from the voyage, create awareness and get this cookie rolling some REAL doe. The Trek currently has organizers in 14 states and counting, here’s a list. Click here to meet them or click here to see how YOU can get involved!
